How to create a QR visitor pass

Step-by-step for generating a QR-coded digital visitor pass that works at building entry points.

A QR visitor pass is a time-bound credential that lets a guest check in at a door, gate, or reception point without paperwork. Here's how to set one up.

Steps

  1. Create the visitOpen Visitor.Place, click Invite, and enter the guest's name and contact info.
  2. Choose the locationPick the location — the QR pass will inherit that location's entry instructions.
  3. Send the inviteThe guest receives a link. The QR appears automatically 2 hours before the visit.
  4. Have the guest add to Wallet (optional)Guests can install the pass to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet for lock-screen access.
